Business Continuity Management System Auditor/Lead Auditor Training course as per ISO 22301

A full week course designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of Business Continuity Management Systems against ISO 22301.

A course for lead and system auditors intending to audit Business Continuity Management Systems against the requirements of ISO 22301, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO 17021, as applicable.

Participant evaluation is through continuous assessment during the training course and an examination (2 hours) at the end of the course. A ‘Certificate of Achievement’ will be awarded to participants who passes both continuous assessment and the written examination.

This course has been registered and certificated by the CQI and IRCA Governing Body and satisfies the formal training requirements for individuals seeking registration under CQI and IRCA or other auditor certification schemes.

Objective

On completion, successful participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

Describe the purpose of a business continuity management system, of business continuity management systems standards, of management system audit and of third-party certification;

Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a business continuity management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate);

Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a business continuity management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 22301 and in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO 17021 where appropriate.

Pre-requisites

For successful completion of this course, it is expected that you have prior knowledge of the following management principles and concepts:

  • The PDCA cycle;
  • Business continuity management system principles and concepts;
  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 22301 and the commonly used business continuity management system terms and definitions, as given in ISO 22301, which may be gained by completing a Foundation training course in ISO 22301:2019.

Audience

This course is intended for anyone who possess a basic understanding of the content, application and implementation of business continuity management system in their organization. Training can be done in classroom or online. For the online exams a LAN connection and webcam are required.
